What does Maido mean?
Maido literally means “always”. The word “Maido” is usually used as “Maido-ari”. “Ari” is from arigato which means “Thank you”. When leaving a store in the Kansai region (southern-central part of Japan), a sales associate would usually say “Maido-ari” meaning “Thank you for always coming”
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping is FREE for domestic orders over $25.
Standard First Class shipping is otherwise $3.45 and up.
Do you ship overseas?
Yes! We ship to all around the world. We have various international shipping methods available.
International Priority is recommended. The free shipping promotion does not apply to international orders.
What form of payments do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, PayPal, and money orders.

Is your website secure?
Yes, all your information is encrypted in transmission using industry-leading SSL technology (the same technology used by all major online retailers and for online banking) and all credit card information is deleted once a transaction is processed.
What is your return policy?
We stand behind the products we sell. We accept returns of products in their original condition within 30 days of purchase. Unfortunately seasonal and sale items cannot be returned. Shipping fees cannot be refunded. Returns must include a RMA.
An item I want is out of stock, when will it be restocked?
We restock the majority of items approximately every two to three weeks. Some special products may be backordered and can take longer. Once limited items and seasonal items are gone, they will not be restocked.
I get an error when I check out, what do I do?

Okay! I just placed an order. When will it be shipped?
When your order is placed and processed by 12:00 PM EST on a business day, we ship it the same day. Yes, the same day you put in your order.
I changed my mind. How do I add/remove items or cancel my order?
Most orders placed on MyMaido.com enter the shipping process very quickly so we can get your items to you as soon as possible. Orders already in the shipping process cannot be canceled.
We do not currently support adding to or removing items from an existing order. Please give us a call at (415) 657-0107, Monday-Friday, 9am-4pm (pst) for order cancellations or go to our contact us page to send us a message.
Can I suggest a product?
Sure, we are always looking to expand our product selection. You can tell us about it by using the Contact Us form and we will add it to our product request list.
Are there bulk discounts?
We do bulk discounts for large orders (usually 50-200+ pcs per SKU depends on the item). Please contact us with the items and qty you are looking for and we can give a quote.
Will your retail stores price-match your online store or the other way around?
With regards to different prices between MyMaido.com and Maido/KSG Stores, the merchandise and prices available on our web site do not reflect the merchandise and prices available in our stores. Our stores will not match prices with our online store (or the other way around). Currently, MyMaido.com does not have access to store inventory lists or price lists.
With regards to individual stores, each store is required to manage its own inventory; therefore prices may vary from store to store. Our store managers are given the freedom to lower a price to clear out an overstock item, to reward customers with an in-store sale, or to compete with local merchants. It is not Maido’s policy to price match our own stores since we are not in competition with ourselves.
Our online prices are specifically priced for web-only. Therefore our retail stores will not price-match our online prices and vice-versa.

Not only is our shipping facility located in the Bay Area of Northern California, we also have multiple retail stores you can actually visit on the west and east coast in the US.

No, unfortunately we do not have an in-store pickup option or a pick-up at warehouse option.
What is this proposition 65 I hear about? (California)
California's Proposition 65 entitles California consumers to special warnings for products that contain chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm if those products expose consumers to such chemicals above certain threshold levels. We care about our customers' safety and have warnings on products which fall into this catagory.
